Friday or Monday???

I had my doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon as well as a sonogram. Just as we expected, we found out during our sonogram that we do indeed have a big baby. She guessed him to weigh 8 lbs 2 ozs which may not seem too big...but yesterday was 2 weeks and 4 days until my due date. She said that if I was to go to term, he would easily be over 9 lbs. Yikes!! He also appeared very chubby!! He still has very chubby cheeks and his belly is very chubby as well!!


As far as my doctor's appointment, we found out that we may actually have Kendall this Friday!! My blood pressure hadn't gotten worse, but it wasn't really any better either. So that, combined with the fact that Kendall is so big, made my doctor suggest that maybe we have him on Friday. So, I'm going to go back into the doctor Thursday morning. We are going to do blood work, have a regular appointment, and also hook up to the baby monitors again to see how Kendall is doing. By the time we leave the doctor's office, we will know for sure what we're going to do. If we decide to have him on Friday, then we will go into the hospital Thursday evening and then start the induction early Friday morning. However, if she decides to go ahead and wait until Monday, then we will go into the hospital Sunday night and start the induction early Monday morning.

When she first said we may go ahead and have him on Friday, I think my first words were "oh my goodness." I think I was kind of in shock for a while. Both TJ and I were both hesitant about having him on Friday. TJ because he already has his vacation worked out for having him on Monday. Me because...well...I don't know. I guess just because it's a few days sooner than I had mentally prepared myself for. But after day to think about it, we're both hoping now that we get to have him on Friday. We're ready to see our little boy!!!

So...if I do not post any updates before then, I will do a post after my appointment on Thursday with the final decision.
