Mom and Dad had a great time with Kendall. They sure do love that boy. It was nice having them there because I got more time to myself having them there to help with him. We had a great time and look forward to going back to visit. Mom and Dad are already planning a trip here in August to see him though!! They just can't get enough of him!!

Del Rio
We took our first trip to Del Rio last weekend. Mom & Dad's church threw us a diaper shower on Saturday. Since I'm on maternity leave still we were able to stay longer than usual. We left here Thursday morning and came home Monday morning. We got tons of diapers and wipes!!

Happy 1 Month Birthday Kendall
Believe it or not, Kendall is one month old today! It just doesn't seem like he should be a month old already. We have spent most of the past month just hanging out at home getting to know each other. TJ has spent a lot of this first month at home with us. He has now gone back to his regular schedule though. Kendall still spends most of his days eating & sleeping, but he has been staying awake a little more the past few days. He also is getting really good at making eye contact. You can tell when his eyes lock on yours that he really can see you!! I just can't wait until I get that first smile (other than the "gas" smiles, of course). Here are some pictures showing how he's changed over the past month.
Right after he was born...
At about 2 weeks old
4 weeks old...I've decided that for his "month" pictures I'm going to take them with him sitting next to his daddy's football helmet. I thought that would be cute!! It won't be too long and that helmet will look small compared to him!
A big first for Kendall today...he has his first bottle! He's still on breast milk, I just pumped so that he could get used to a bottle for when I'm back at work. I missed that time with him today...it was sad not to feed him myself. It's going to be really hard going back to work!! I'm dreading it already!! My little boy is just growing up way to fast!! Here are a couple of pictures of TJ feeding Kendall.

The Boys and Their Dads
Sunday all the boys wore a matching outfit that Jeanne McEndree from church gave them at their showers. They all looked soooo adorable. Of course when church was over, we all dug out our cameras for picture time. But we decided that for these pictures, we would have the dads hold the boys. Here are the pictures. From left to right Joey & Brady (who is 10 weeks old), Heath & Kash (who is 4 weeks old) and TJ & Kendall (who is 4 weeks old). Soooo cute!!
At this point, Kendall was clearly over it...

Fun at Granbury Beach
Monday a group from church took a trip over to the "beach" at the lake in Granbury. It was a lot of fun. I didn't really get to do anything other than sit and watch, but it was still fun! TJ played with all the kids and Kendall slept in his car seat. Here are some pictures from the day.

Big Boy
Tuesday was Kendall's two week check up. Boy has he grown! He weighed 9 lbs 5 oz and was 21 inches long. That means he had gained a pound in the less than two weeks since we took him to check his weight last!! At this rate, he's going to be eating me out of house and home in no time!!

As far as sleeping goes...it seems that we've taken two steps back. He was sleeping pretty good at night for a few nights, but the last few nights have not been so great!! It appears that between 9 pm and 1 am he does not like to sleep and is the most fussy. That sure does make for a long night. The past couple of nights I've ended up letting him sleep with us because I've been so tired that it's just easier that way!! My goal today is to take a nap this afternoon while he's sleeping so that hopefully I'll have enough energy tonight to stay up with him and try to enforce him sleeping in his pack-n-play. It's hard to enforce that rule at night when I can barely keep my eyes open myself. I've never been a nap taking person but I really need to start making myself take one in the afternoons.
My mom got here on Wednesday night. She found out last week that her boss was closing the office Thursday so that he could go to Disney World with his family for a little vacation, so mom decided she was going to come here. I think she has missed that grandson of hers. It's been nice having her here to help with Kendall. TJ went back to work this week so it's nice being able to take a break and letting her entertain Kendall for a while. She's going back to Del Rio Sunday after lunch and then we will be down there in two weeks for our diaper shower that the church is giving us. I can't wait to be stocked up on diapers!! It's amazing how many you go through!!
Last Sunday all "the boys" were at church so we were able to get our first group pictures with the babies. In this picture, Brady was 8 weeks and 2 days, Kash was 2 weeks and 3 days, and Kendall was 1 week and 6 days old.

Two Weeks Old
It's hard to believe, but Kendall is two weeks old today. It makes me sad how fast the past two weeks have gone by.
Sleeping in the pack-n-play is still going good. He's doing so much better about sleeping in it during the night. I can usually even put him down in it when he's still awake and he'll fall asleep on his own. It makes night time so much easier!!
We went today and had our first family pictures made. It was great. We ordered a disc so that we could have the copyrights to the pictures, so when we get that in a couple of weeks, I will post some of the pictures. The family pictures were okay...but the one's of just Kendall by himself were absolutely adorable!! When it got time to order the pictures, we had a really hard time deciding what to get. But then we decided to get the disc so if we want more of something we can just print them off.
Here are some new cute pictures of Kendall:

Victory!!
Last night was a big milestone for us. Kendall slept for about 5 hours in his pack-n-play!! We've been having a really hard time getting him to sleep in it during the night. During the day he has no problem sleeping in it. But when it comes to night time he just won't do it. But last night, it finally happened. It was great!! I know he has to get better sleep when he's in his own bed than sleeping with us...and I know that we sure do get better sleep that way as well!! So, I'm anxious to see how tonight goes. Hopefully last night wasn't just a fluke!!

Another milestone...Kendall's umbilical cord came off Wednesday afternoon! And it totally freaked me out!! Danielle was over here visiting and she was changing Kendall's diaper. I was in another room and he was crying so I went in to check on them. Danielle was about to close up his new diaper and I was like..."wait a minute!!" His umbilical cord was still there...but it was stuck to his skin about an inch or two above his belly button!! Danielle hadn't even noticed! I wasn't sure what to do though. They tell you how to take care of it before it falls off, but no one ever tells you what to do when it does fall off. So I immediately got on the phone with Amy to see what I was supposed to do. Turns out...you don't really do anything once it falls off. I guess that's why I didn't know what to do.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July celebration at the park. Our church is supposed to have a booth there doing face painting to raise money for the kids playground. I have a feeling it's going to rain a lot tomorrow though so I'm not sure how well our booth is actually going to do. There may not be a big crowd down at the park tomorrow. We decided because of all the sirens and everything that we weren't going to take Kendall to the parade. So TJ and I are going to go to the park during the parade and help get everything set up for the booth. Then, depending on the weather, we'll decide how long we'll stay at the park.
Here are some of the most adorable pictures I have ever seen of this little boy!! How can you not want to just eat him up?!?
