It's about 10:30 and I'm about to get some sleep...hopefully! We've been here since five. We got to our room and after 4 tries at my IV...finally got that hooked up. Ouch!!! They gave me my "cervix thinning" medicine at around 6 and boy have I been feeling it. My contractions have already started and have been about 2-6 minutes apart for the past hour or so. They just gave me a sleeping pill so that I can get some sleep before the big day tomorrow. So, hopefully the sleeping pill will allow me to sleep through some contractions tonight. However, she said that if I can't sleep through the pain they will give me some demerol. So, we'll see how it goes.
Mom and Dad got here at around 7:15 or so. They are of course very excited. They stayed for about an hour and then left to go eat. Then they went to my house. I told them to go get some rest because tomorrow could be a long day. I'm sure they will be up here at around 7:30 or so in the morning.
Funny thing real quick though...TJ and I were watching a movie and the lady in the room next to us was screaming her head off. I was like...really lady? Not very encouraging. My nurse came in a little while later and said she was sorry if I felt like I was being neglected but that they had been delivering someone. I asked her if it was the lady next door because she's been loud and she said that yes it was...she had no epidural. Now I know more than ever that I definately want an epidural tomorrow!!! Amy, I don't know how in the world you did it all "natural" with both of yours. You are wonder woman!!
Hopefully I will get to post one more time tomorrow before things start getting crazy! We will see!! For now...I'm going to sleep!! :)
