Kendall's First Day of School

Sorry...it's been a LONG day so you get a LONG post today...

Today was Kendall's first day of "school." I don't start work until tomorrow so we did a dry run today. I had him at school at 7:45 and picked him up at 12:45. It was a sad sad day for me. Kendall woke up at about 5 this morning. At about 5:30 I fed him and then I was trying to get him to go back to sleep so that I could get ready. I was holding him and was half way asleep and I looked down at him and he smiled really big at me. That's when my tears started flowing. I cried the whole time I was getting ready to leave. I got him to school and barely made it back to the car before I started crying again. Then I got home to my empty house with no baby and started bawling again. TJ got home at about 8:15 and by about 8:30 or so I was good. I didn't cry again the rest of the day. But it was a very rough few hours this morning. He had just gone to sleep when I got there to pick him up this afternoon. They said he did good. So...day one done. Tomorrow will be another long day though!! The good thing is that I only work half a day on Friday, next week I only work Tuesday and Wednesday, and then the next week I only work Wednesday-Friday. So at least we will get in this work/day care routine slowly.

But my poor baby. His schedule is all messed up. It's going to take a little while to get adjusted to this. He took two naps this morning at Faith School totaling about 1.5 hrs (he usually sleeps for 3 hrs) and then this afternoon at home he took a couple of naps and only slept a total of about 1.5 hrs (again...usually sleeps about 3 hrs in the afternoon). So, I fed him at 6 tonight, gave him a bath at 7 and planned on feeding him a little more at 8 and then put him down for bed. However, at about 7:30 he couldn't keep his eyes open any more. TJ was having a hard time keeping him awake and then Lola and Braiden got here so I figured a change in faces would keep him interested for another 30 minutes but Lola couldn't keep him awake either. She tried everything and even sitting up he was sound asleep. So we gave in and put him in bed. Hopefully he doesn't think he's just napping and then wakes up in an hour. We'll see.

So...change of subject but Kendall has been talking a lot lately. I've been trying to get a good video of him talking but of course every time I turn on the camera he stops talking. But we finally got one today. It's a little long but super cute so you must watch...
